Nearly twenty-five thousand homes in Queensland's southeast woke up experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after severe thunderstorms swept through the state, bringing strong winds reaching over 100 km/h.

Residents observed giant hailstones measuring up to 7cm in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology announced that multiple regions across Queensland had been affected by significant hail.
